Lancaster is a Shaker door with one extra detail: a ⅛″ rabbet cut around the outside edge, which gives it a thin stepped border. The flat panel sits ¼″ back from the face of the solid hardwood frame, in ¼″ or ⅜″ thickness, or leave the frame open for glass.

Doors were perfect and exactly as ordered. When we started to install them I realized that they didn't fit!!
We ordered 15 inch width instead of 14 7/8!!
We had to rip 1/8" off every door and then they for perfectly! My wife didn't realize it has to be exact and she rounded it off at 15 inches! Yes we are still married and I still love her!!
It all worked out fine and the door look fantastic!
If we ever need doors again I would order from this firm most definitely. ( I will double check the measurements)
