Product Description

The Concord cabinet door style features a flat panel available in 1/4″ veneer ply or solid wood. The frame is solid hardwood with tenon joinery.

Available in the following Wood Species: Paint Grade Maple, Select White Maple, Select Red Oak, Quarter Sawn Red Oak, Rift Sawn White Oak, Select Cherry, Select Walnut, Clear Alder, Rustic Alder, Select Hickory, Select White Birch, or Vertical Carbonized Bamboo.

Optional hinge cup boring in 3 different formats is available.

Pre-finishing is available as a Satin Conversion Varnish topcoat or a White Conversion Varnish primer, ready for paint.

These cabinet doors are available with 5 different frame widths: 2.25”, 2.5”, 2.625”, 2.75”, and 3”.

Tenon Door and Drawer Front Construction

The Cabinet Door Store manufactures its wood tenon style cabinet doors without the use of any metal pins. All solid panels are installed with rubber spacers to allow for expansion or contraction in different environmental situations. All plywood panels are glued in on all four sides as plywood is structurally stable and this prevents any possible vibration problems in the future with the plywood panel.

Tenon Door and Drawer Front Thickness

All tenon doors are 0.8” (20mm) thick.

Grain Direction

Cabinet doors have a vertical grain by default. Drawer Fronts have a horizontal grain by default (as of 1/18/2022; NOTE: product photos show vertical grain; this is available by request). Grain direction is not applicable for doors and drawer fronts with Paint Grade Maple w/ HDF Center Panels.

Center Rails & Stiles on Tenon Doors and Drawer Fronts

Defaults:

  • Cabinet doors over 48” in height will have a horizontal center rail inserted
  • Cabinet doors over 24” in width will have a vertical center stile inserted.
  • Cabinet doors over 48” in width will have 2 vertical center stiles inserted.
  • Drawer Fronts under 48″ in width WILL NOT have a vertical center stile.
  • Drawer Fronts OVER 48″ in width WILL have a vertical center stile.

All center stiles and rails will be centered to create even-sized panels. Tenon Doors and Fronts over 24″ W or 48″ H without recommended midrail/stile are possible to order but ARE NOT covered by our 1 year warranty.

***Use Custom Notes to Request Changes to Defaults***

Tolerance

The Cabinet Door Store warrants that it’s wood cabinet doors have a size tolerance of +/- 1mm.

Warping is always a factor with wood cabinet doors. The Cabinet Door Store warrants that any door or drawer front under 24”x48” will have an allowance of 1/8” for warpage. Doors or drawer fronts between the sizes of 24”x48” and 24”x72” will have an allowance of ¼” for warpage. Any doors or drawer fronts wider than 24” or higher than 72” will not be warranted for warpage.

Note: This applies to doors and drawer fronts with one vertical grain panel.

Inset Doors and Drawer Fronts

When ordering tenon cabinet doors for an inset application, we recommend ordering your doors slightly oversized with the “I” outside edge profile. This way you can size the front specifically for your opening. Because of the properties inherent in wood and the achievable tolerances, we do not guarantee fronts to fit an inset application properly.

Quality Standards For Every Tenon Door

Every Door is:

  • assembled in an automated clamp to ensure squareness.
  • squared again and edged to your desired profile on a CNC automated double ender.
  • thickness sanded with 100, 150 and 180 grit sandpaper front and back.
  • machine orbital sanded front and back.
  • hand orbital sanded front for select and premium grades.
  • profile sanded on the raised panel and outside edges.
  • run through a denibber sander.
  • individually inspected for quality and ensure all cross grain scratches have been removed.

Minimum Size Calculation

For Solid Panel Tenon Doors & Drawer Fronts – (Stile / Rail Width x 2) + (Panel Profile Reveal x 2) + 1/2”.

For Plywood Panel Tenon Doors & Drawer Fronts – (Stile / Rail Width x 2) + 1”

A simply beautiful product. We bought cabinet doors and drawer fronts, painted, with the MDF centers/maple outer edge and they look stunning! The finish is super smooth and the color was beautiful. We ordered the "Simply White" paint color. We painted our 1980's oak bases and replaced the doors and they now look designer! It's amazing how great our remodeled kitchen looks! We had to replace our existing kitchen drawers. Through The Cabinet Door Store we purchased two different types - the cheap "put-together yourself" ones and a large solid wood one. My only disappointment was that the cheap put-together ones were very rough cut and there was some splintering of the veneer that covered the wood sides. This was not even enough for me to contact their customer support, but it was a general disappointment personally as I'm a perfectionist. Aside from that minor annoyance, the drawer boxes were easy to put together and very strong once assembled. We had zero complaints with the solid wood drawer. Overall our experience was SUPERB with this company!

I needed to cover an open end on lower cabinets and ordered a door to paint and it worked out great. It looks like it was there originally.

Before and after we only did the lowers so far, much preferred the closer gap on the new doors.

Doors are beautiful!! I am a 73 yr old female and had them installed in no time at all. So much prettier than my old foil covered doors (actual vanity cabinets were real wood). Ordered doors to be painted BM Chantily Lace and so glad I did. Finish was perfect.

Prior to our kitchen remodel my husband was making our cabinets. As the deadline for when the contractor was to begin got closer and he hadn't finished the ones on the pass-through into the den, I decided to just order door and drawer fronts. We took measurements, placed the order and they arrived quickly. We sanded the corners just so they wouldn't be quite as sharp to better hold the paint, painted them to match, hung them and added the hardware. They look great! I'm so pleased I'll probable order more so my bathrooms and utility room cabinet doors match. BTW, the last two pics are the ones we bought, the rest were made by my husband. I know blue isn't everyones color but I love how it all came out.

We recently finished our basement and I needed a custom door to cover our breaker box. The door I ordered came cut exactly to size and works perfectly. I ordered a primer finish and it looks as though it was finish painted. Very satisfied!

Great doors at a reasonable price. First time I ever built cabinets for my house and decided to go with these pre-made doors - I am very happy I did. They were exactly as advertised and led to a professional result. Had a minor blemish on one of the doors I received and the company sent a replacement order immediately with no questions asked, even during the beginning of COVID when a lot of factories were delayed. I would definitely order more doors again from this company for my next project (garage) instead of trying to ever make them.
