Choosing Blum Tandem a Slide Kit
Step 1: Choose Slide Length. For 24″ deep cabinets (typical kitchen cabinets) use 21″ slides. For 21″ deep cabinets, use 18″ slides. For 18″ deep cabinets, use 15″ slides. Choose a Heavy Duty option for extra weight capacity and/or length. The drawer slide length you choose must match the drawer box depth. For example, a 21″ drawer slide requires a 21″ deep drawer box.
Step 2: Choose a Locking Device; Standard works in most situations; Side Adjustable is great if you’re concerned about things not being quite square. Depth Adjustable is best for inset (flush) drawer fronts. The Narrow Locking Device must be used when the inside drawer width (between drawer sides) is less than 4-7/8″ and greater than 3-3/4″.
Step 3: Choose a Rear Support; This is nice for mounting Tandem Slides on Face Frame Cabinets; Can not be used with Heavy Duty Slides or Frameless Cabinets
