I needed a very shallow drawer so the 8" slide was all I could fit. It worked OK, but a bit more overtravel would have been better. Also, the relief cut for the plastic release lever was not quite wide enough for the lever to fit, so I had to press harder than I should have to release the drawer for removal. All in all, I'm satisfied with this product.
